Digital Geosciences: Knowledge Management for the Energy Industry is a project supported by the Brazilian CAPES and Norwegian SIU to address the growing need for education and training to support the digitalization of the energy industries in Norway and Brazil.

The Computing Systems for Petroleum E&P Group of Informatics and Geosciences Institute of UFRGS and the SIRIUS Centre for Research-Based Innovation of the Departments of Informatics and Geosciences of University of Oslo come together to raise and discuss the challenges in semantic processing of Petroleum Exploration and Production data.

From November 7 to 9, we will explore the emerging trends and shows the current research of information retrieval, ontology and knowledge representation, information visualization, and natural language processing of petroleum information.
