The Interest Group on Artificial Intelligence (GIA) has been acting there for more than 20 years developing human resources and research projects in partenership with governamental and no-governamental entities. Some exemples includes the Brazillian Bank, Petrobrás (Oil Company), Hospital de Clínicas from Porto Alegre, and another international institutions as University os Lisbon (Portugal); National University of Colombia, Polytechnic Institute of Grenoble, Minas School of Paris (France), Techincal University of Darmstadt, TU Berlin (Germany), City University London, Cambridge University, Kings College and Durham University (UK).
