Application

Applications will be received through the PPGC Registration System, which can be accessed in the following address: http://inf.ufrgs.br/ppgc/applying-en. If you need assistance using the system, please send a message to .

If you have applied to PPGC in the past, and wish to reuse the information previously provided, please send a message to no later than 2 days before the application deadline.

Selection process

The selection is based on an analysis of the documentation (see list below), the research plan, and an interview with the candidate. Interviews with foreign students can be arranged over Skype, by phone, etc.

It is strongly recommended that candidates get in touch with potential supervisors in order to discuss about the availability for supervision and also to write a research plan to be submited with the application.

The MSc degree is NOT a requirement for admission to the PhD program. Candidates with a BSc degree only, with or without an ongoing MSc, but who demonstrate strong academic performance and motivation for research are encouraged to apply.

Documents required for application:

3x4cm Photo
