Short Bio

I am a master student in the Prosoft Group at Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), doing research with Dr Ingrid Nunes and Dr Alberto Schaeffer-Filho on Network Function Virtualization and Multi-Agent Systems. My research interests are broad, ranging from network security and cryptography to web technologies and artificial intelligence.

I received my Technologist Degree in Information Security from the UNISINOS. Throughout my undergraduate studies I have worked as a full-time and full-stack web developer in different companies such as: SOLIS, a cooperative that creates open source solutions for universities; EMATER, state-owned company responsible for fostering family-owned agriculture business that directly impacts 27% of the state's GDP. Also, through E-core I had the opportunity to work with HealthPlan Services, America's largest provider of technology solutions to the insurance and managed care industries and Matterhorn which develops a proprietary data analysis tool that provides legal and financial professionals with capabilities to search for and compare the market terms of mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, and other transactions.

In 2012 I was awarded a scholarship from the Brazilian government through the Science Without Borders program. I studied Computer Science for a year at the University of Calgary where I have worked with Dr Anthony Tang at the RICELab as a research assistant.
