I am a researcher at the Computer Networks Group of the Institute of Informatics of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), Brazil. I am Electrical Engineer (UFRGS - 2003) and I hold a M.Sc. (UFRGS - 2010) and Ph.D. (UFRGS - 2015) in Computer Science.

During my doctoral studies, I performed a one-year internship (ended in August 2012) at Cisco Systems (San Jose, USA). There I performed research activities as a member of the Network Operating Systems Technology Group (NOSTG) under the topic of Network Management.

I am a professor at the Polytechnic School of the University of Vale do Rio dos Sinos (UNISINOS), where I teach courses on computer networks.
