Sobre / Mini-Bio

Jose Rodrigo holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), 2007, a master's degree in Computer Science from the Postgraduate Program in Computer Science (PPGC), UFRGS, 2010, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from PPGC, UFRGS, and Electrical Engineering, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Germany, 2013. He is currently an associate professor at UFRGS, Chair of the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society (CAS) Rio Grande do Sul Chapter, President of the City Council for Science, Technology and Innovation (COMCET) of Porto Alegre, and IEEE Senior Member. He has experience in the area of Computer Science, with emphasis on Systems Architectures, working mainly on the following topics: GPUs, processors and fault tolerance.
