Short-Bio:
Nicolas received his B.S in 1996 in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science, at the French “Grande École d’Ingénieur” ENSIMAG (École Nationale Supérieure d’Informatique et de Mathématiques Appliquées de Grenoble) – INPG. He has then obtained a Master degree in Applied Mathematics and Parallel Computing, at the University Joseph Fourier (Grenoble I), and a PhD in Information Sciences and Technologies at the same university, in 2001. Nicolas is currently Assistant Professor at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Porto Alegre, Brazil, teaching Compilers and Parallel Programming. His main research is in the area of Parallel, High Performance Computing.
