Brazil waives visas for visitors from U.S., Canada, Australia, Japan

Starting June 17, 2019 Brazil will now allow visitors from Canada, Australia, Japan and the United States to enter the country Visa-Free. Please confirm details at the official site!

The new laws allow for citizens of these countries to enter Brazil for up to 90 days without a visa. The visa then can be extended once for an additional 90 days provided it does not exceed 180 days in a 12 month period.

“This is one of the most important achievements of the Brazilian tourism industry in the last 15 years and we are confident that it will be extremely beneficial to the country.

This decision of the Brazilian government proves that we are living a new moment and that tourism is being seen as a vector of economic and social growth of the entire nation. This is the first step; we still have much to celebrate.”

Marcelo Alvaro Antônio, Minister of Tourism

Book the hotel now

We managed to have a certain number of rooms at a special fare for the ER 2019 Conference, as a courtesy the breakfast is included. All the information is available at the Accomodation page. We strongly suggest to book at the Mercure Hotel as all the ER activities will be at the same place. Remember that the ER 2019 is partially colliding with the holidays of All Saints or Toussaint it is interesting to book  the air travel in advance.

Workshops accepted – full list

Continuing a long tradition, ER 2019 will host a number of workshops to be held in conjunction with the main ER 2019 conference. The workshops will serve as an intensive collaborative forum for exchanging innovative ideas about conceptual modeling, and for discovering new frontiers for its use. We specifically invite proposals for interactive workshops on new, emerging, or established topics in conceptual modeling, or its application in specific domains. We encourage workshop organizers to include activities that provide their participants with a true workshop experience. Topics of interest include foundations of conceptual models, theories of concepts, ontology-driven conceptual modeling and analysis, methods and tools for developing, communicating, consolidating, and evolving conceptual models, and techniques for transforming conceptual models into effective implementations.

Since the proceedings will be published by Springer in the LNCS series, authors must submit manuscripts using the LNCS style. See http://www.springer.de/comp/lncs/authors.html for style files and details. The page limit for submitted papers (as well as for final, camera-ready papers) is 14. Manuscripts not submitted in the LNCS style or exceeding the page limit will not be reviewed and automatically rejected.
