He is also Wallenberg Guest Professor in Artificial Intelligence for Data Management at Ume\u00e5 University (Sweden). \u00a0His research interests concern foundational and applied aspects in Artificial Intelligence and Databases, notably formalisms for knowledge representation and reasoning, Virtual Knowledge Graphs for data management and integration, Description Logics, Semantic Web, and modeling and verification of data-aware processes. \u00a0He is the author of more than 400 refereed publications, including ones in the most prestigious venues in Artificial Intelligence and Databases, with more than 35000 citations and an h-index of 74, according to Google Scholar. \u00a0He is a Fellow of the European Association for Artificial Intelligence (EurAI), of the Asia-Pacific Artificial Intelligence Association (AAIA), and of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM). \u00a0He is the originator and a co-founder of <a href=\"https:\/\/ontopic.ai\/en\/\">Ontopic<\/a>, the first spin-off of the Free University of\u00a0Bozen-Bolzano, founded in 2019, and developing AI-based solutions and technologies for data management and integration.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-1125 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inf.ufrgs.br\/ontobras\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/davide-lanti-pic-251x300.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"239\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.inf.ufrgs.br\/ontobras\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/davide-lanti-pic-251x300.jpeg 251w, https:\/\/www.inf.ufrgs.br\/ontobras\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/davide-lanti-pic.jpeg 435w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 200px) 85vw, 200px\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Bio:<\/strong> \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.inf.unibz.it\/~dlanti\/\">Davide Lanti<\/a> is an Assistant Professor at the Research Centre for Knowledge and Data (KRDB) of the Faculty of Computer Science, Free University of Bozen-Bolzano (Italy), where he carries out research on Virtual Knowledge Graphs, Semantic Web, Databases, and Description Logics. He is also one of the main developers of Ontop, the most popular open-source Virtual Knowledge Graph engine. Prior to founding Ontopic, Benjamin was a Post-Doc from 2014 to 2019 in the Intelligent Integration and Access to Data (In2Data) research group at the KRDB research centre at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, where he worked on Virtual Knowledge Graphs and brought important contributions to Ontop.
