The course is based on Rstudio as IDE and using the R programming language for data analysis. Every lecture will be backed up with practical sessions and worked out examples.<\/p>\n<h1>Conte\u00fado Program\u00e1tico<\/h1>\n<p>These are the topics:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>General Introduction &#8211; Course overview, goals, references and reproducibil- ity (2h)<\/li>\n<li>Literate Programming &#8211; Literate Programming Motivation &amp; RStudio Case Study (3h)<\/li>\n<li>Data Carpentry and Manipulation &#8211; Clean-up data, and using the dplyr R package (3h)<\/li>\n<li>Data Representation &#8211; Checklist for good graphics &amp; the ggplot2 package (3h)<\/li>\n<li>Probability \/ Statistics &#8211; an Introduction to Statistics and Probalistic Modeling (4h)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h1>M\u00e9todo de Trabalho<\/h1>\n<p>Cinco encontros expositivos, come\u00e7ando \u00e0s 8h30, organizados da seguinte forma:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>24\/10 (Ter\u00e7a), no Lab 67-104, itens 1 e 2<\/li>\n<li>25\/10 (Quarta), no AUD-1, itens 2 e 3<\/li>\n<li>30\/10 (Segunda), no AUD-1, item 4<\/li>\n<li>31\/10 (Ter\u00e7a), no Lab 67-103, item 5<\/li>\n<li>01\/11 (Quarta), no AUD-1, item 5<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Ao final do t\u00f3pico 3, um dataset sugerido dever\u00e1 ser analisado pelos participantes utilizando as ferramentas apresentadas (RStudio + dplyr). Ao final do t\u00f3pico 5, os participantes dever\u00e3o escolher um dataset de seu interesse e realizar uma an\u00e1lise completa; servindo de trabalho final da disciplina. N\u00e3o haver\u00e1 um exame.
