If you need assistance using the system, please send a message to <a href=\"mailto:ppgcapl@inf.ufrgs.br\">ppgcapl@inf.ufrgs.br<\/a> .<\/p>\n<p>If you have applied to PPGC in the past, and wish to reuse the information previously provided, please send a message to <a href=\"mailto:ppgcapl@inf.ufrgs.br\">ppgcapl@inf.ufrgs.br<\/a> no later than 2 days before the application deadline.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Selection process<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The selection is based on an\u00a0analysis of the documentation (see list below), the research plan, and an interview with the candidate. Interviews with foreign students can be arranged over a video call or by phone.<\/p>\n<p>It is strongly recommended that candidates get in touch with potential supervisors in order to discuss about the availability for supervision and also to write\u00a0a research plan to be submited with the application.<\/p>\n<p>The MSc degree is NOT a requirement for admission to the PhD program. Candidates with a BSc degree only, with or without an ongoing MSc, but who demonstrate strong academic performance and motivation for research are encouraged to apply.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Documents required for application:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Photocopy of the BSc diploma<br \/>\nPhotocopy of the MSc diploma, when applicable<br \/>\nBSc Academic Records<br \/>\nMSc Academic Records, when applicable<br \/>\nCurriculum Vitae in CNPq Lattes format (recommended) or according to the template\u00a0below<br \/>\n3x4cm Photo<br \/>\nPhotocopy of Identity Card and CPF (for Brazilians) or Passport (for non-residents)<br \/>\nResearch plan prepared in agreement with the intended supervisor<br \/>\nTwo recommendation letters provided by professors or active researchers (both letters are requested and entered through the Application System). Once the application has been processed, the recommenders (whose e-mail addresses were informed by the applicant) will be contacted with instructions on how to submit the letters through the Application System.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>CV Template\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Name<\/li>\n<li>Academic background (Indicate level, program name, institution name, duration, and if supported by a scholarship and from which agency)<\/li>\n<li>Professional experience (Indicate the jobs and functions past and present, specifying: name of the job post, institution and duration, detailing the tasks performed).
