Enabling students to understand and analyze the fundamental properties of ground-breaking novel network architectures and related applications, and how they compare with the state-of-the-art in Internet technology.<\/p>\n

Overview, including critical assessment of Internet and the evolution of its technology in the past 30 years. Long-term research to address grand scientific challenges on computer networks: \u201cFuture Internet\u201d.

EVALUATION<\/strong><\/p>\n

Evaluation will be based on the following criteria: (a) attendance and participation in discussions; (b) presentation of papers and critical analysis of colleagues\u2019 presentations; (c) a written research proposal. There are no examinations, but the student is expected to read a good number of papers, mainly beyond class hours.<\/p>\n
