Introduction to applications using Natural Language Processing (speech recognition and synthesis, data mining, natural language interfaces, &#8230;). Characteristics of different language levels of information: morphological, lexical, syntactic, semantic, pragmatic. Computing models applied to these levels, such as labels morpho-syntactic, and semantic parsers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>OBJECTIVES<\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">The purpose of this course is to provide students an introduction to the area of Natural Language Processing, applying computational techniques to solve problems related to language technology.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PROGRAM<\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">\u2022 Introduction to NLP<br \/>\n\u2022 Seminars<br \/>\n\u2022 Phonology and Morphology<br \/>\n\u2022 Syntax<br \/>\n\u2022 Semantics<br \/>\n\u2022 Pragmatic<br \/>\n\u2022 Advanced Topics in NLP<\/p>\n<p><strong>EVALUATION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Students will be evaluated by their performance on seminars to presented during the course.<br \/>\nThe assignment of grades will be as follows:<\/p>\n<p>A: average in the range [9.0, 10.0];<br \/>\nB: average in the interval [7.5, 9.0);<br \/>\nC: average in the range [6.0, 7.5);<br \/>\nD: average less than 6.0.<br \/>\nFF: lack of frequency.<\/p>\n<p><strong>BIBLIOGRAPHY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">1.
