SUMMARY<\/strong><\/p>\n

Overview of Languages (Formal Natural x Natural). Introduction to applications using Natural Language Processing (speech recognition and synthesis, data mining, natural language interfaces, …). Characteristics of different language levels of information: morphological, lexical, syntactic, semantic, pragmatic. Computing models applied to these levels, such as labels morpho-syntactic, and semantic parsers.<\/p>\n

OBJECTIVES<\/strong><\/p>\n

The purpose of this course is to provide students an introduction to the area of Natural Language Processing, applying computational techniques to solve problems related to language technology.<\/p>\n

EVALUATION<\/strong><\/p>\n

Students will be evaluated by their performance on seminars to presented during the course.
\nThe assignment of grades will be as follows:<\/p>\n

A: average in the range [9.0, 10.0];
\nB: average in the interval [7.5, 9.0);
\nC: average in the range [6.0, 7.5);
\nD: average less than 6.0.
\nFF: lack of frequency.<\/p>\n
