Graduate Program in Computer Science

The Graduate Program in Computer Science (PPGC) is one of the international level programs in the area of Computing in the country according to the Brazilian Ministry of Education. Over  nearly 50 years of existence, PPGC contributed to the graduation of more than 1,700 M.Sc. and 400 Ph.D. students. The wide range of research areas covered by PPGC includes Artificial  Intelligence, Computer Networks, Computing Systems, Data Science and Software Engineering, Design of Electronic and Computational Systems, Theory of Computation, and Visual Computing.  Please, access the PPGC website for further information.

Graduate Program in Microelectronics

The Graduate Program in Microelectronics (PGMICRO) is unique in Brazil in the area and has a multidisciplinary scope. It embraces micro and nanotechnology in cooperation with other centers  of the University, such as the School of Engineering, the Institute of Physics, and the Institute of Chemistry. Since its beginning in 2003, PPGC has contributed to the graduation of more than 200  M.Sc. and Ph.D. students. Please, access the PGMICRO website for further information.

Graduate Program in Informatics in Education

The Graduate Program in Informatics in Education (PPGIE), created in 1996, operates in an interdisciplinary area to provide in-depth studies on digital technologies in Education. It is recognized as a top-ranked multidisciplinary graduate program according to the assessment by the Brazilian Ministry of Education. It offers a Ph.D. degree and prepares highly-qualified professionals to  exercise teaching and research activities and community services in the frontier between Computing and Education.
