Over\u00a0 nearly 50 years of existence, PPGC contributed to the graduation of <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">more than 1,700 M.Sc. and 400 Ph.D. students. The wide range of research areas <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">covered by PPGC includes Artificial\u00a0 Intelligence, Computer Networks, Computing <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Systems, Data Science and Software Engineering, Design of Electronic and <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Computational Systems, Theory of Computation, and Visual Computing.\u00a0 Please, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.inf.ufrgs.br\/ppgc\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">access the PPGC website<\/a><\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\"> for further information.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><strong><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Graduate Program in Microelectronics<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">The Graduate Program in Microelectronics (PGMICRO) is unique in Brazil in the area <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">and has a multidisciplinary scope. It embraces micro and nanotechnology in <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">cooperation with other centers\u00a0 of the University, such as the School of Engineering, the <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Institute of Physics, and the Institute of Chemistry. Since its beginning in 2003, PPGC <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">has contributed to the graduation of more than 200\u00a0 M.Sc. and Ph.D. students. It is recognized as a top-ranked multidisciplinary graduate program <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">according to the assessment by the Brazilian Ministry of Education.
