Original CivisAnalysis
The Original CivisAnalysis directly inspired this work. It is a system for the visualization of roll calls of Brazil’s Chamber of Deputies. Covering roll calls of six legislatures as well as six presidential elections, CivisAnalysis combines roll call visualization techniques with techniques for the visualization of temporal data.
Demonstration
Here is a video of main functionalities of CivisAnalysis 2.0.
First, its showed the Political Timeline: the main visualization of CivisAnalysis 2.0, showing an overview of the voting behavior of parties across the spectrum.
Then, are created two Spectrum of Deputies,the spatial proximity represents the vote similarity between deputies.
After, its showed the Chamber of Deputies Infographic , used to depict the distribution of seats in legislatures, this visualization shows deputies and parties in a semi-circle.
Finally, the Roll Calls Heatmap Histogram are created, this visualization helps users inspect the roll calls.
