I am an Associate Professor (pt-br: Professor Associado) at the Institute of Informatics of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), and also part of the Graduate Program in Computer Science (PPGC). I teach parallel computing in the graduate level; compilers and programming language paradigms for undergrads.

I used to be on postdoctoral leave sponsored by the European Project HPC4E (H2020) at Inria Grenoble Rhônes-Alpes, focusing on many topics related to High Performance Computing, Performance Analysis, Computer System Simulation and Energy-Aware Computing, under the supervision of Arnaud Legrand, head of the Polaris Research Team during the 2016/2017 year.

I used to be a research scientist in CNRS, France, working in the MESCAL team with Arnaud Legrand and Jean-Marc Vincent. I hold a Ph.D. (2009) degree in Computer Science from UFRGS, Brazil and INPG, France (see the cotutelle agreement). My alma mater is the UFSM, Brazil, where I got the Bachelor degree in Computer Science back in 2003.
