Gramado, RS, Brazil – 16 to 18 may 2011
We cordially invite you to participate in CITA 2011, the 6th Ibero-american Congress on Telematics, which will be held in May 16-18, 2011, in the city of Gramado, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.
Supported by the Brazilian Computer Society (SBC) and organized by the Information Systems Group of the PPGC, CITA 2011 will been a forum where researchers, academic staff, professionals and everyone that has interest in the telematics field can exchange knowledge and experiences.
As a result of the integration of information technologies and communications, telematics is one of the pillars of what is called the "society of knowledge." To go beyond the simple gathering and transport of information, it is necessary an intelligent approach to support decision making and to obtain valuable aggregated services.
Telematics engineering has supported and promoted the creation of products and services that contribute to the development of infra-structures and economic activities such as: education, environment protection, health care, social security, transports, banking, culture and entertainment.
The Ibero-american Congress on Telematics (Congresso Ibero-americano de Telemática - CITA) had five past editions, in Gijón/Xixón (Spain 2009), Monterrey (Mexico 2006), Montevideo (Uruguay 2003), Mérida (Venezuela 2002), and Cartagena (Colombia 2001).
In 2011 CITA will be held for the first time in Brazil, specifically in Gramado, with the organization of the Instituto de Informática from UFRGS. The conference will happen between 16 and 18 of May.
Topics and technologies relevant to the Symposium include, but are not limited to:
This year, the event will again hold the following categories:
