RAM Division
The IEEE Circuits and Systems Society is a society of the IEEE. It is also known by the acronym IEEE CASS. You can see the division in the Circuits and Systems Society CAS website. Rio Grande do Sul Chapter is related to the South Brazil Section. The headquarter of the Rio Grande do Sul Chapter is located at UFRGS, Porto Alegre Brazil.

The IEEE has sectioned the world into 10 regions as delineated below. Each region encompasses the following geographical areas:

- Region 5 USA – South Central
- Region 6 USA – West
- Region 7 Canada
- Region 8 Europe, Middle East, Africa

Annual Report & Plan
To receive financial support to promote their annual activity the Chapters must present the Annual Report of Activities of the previous year, as well as the Plan of Activities for the new, until the end of the first quarter of each year. To fulfill this task the attached document should be used, completed and submitted to the IEEE CASS Board of Governors representative for each Region, who will analyze the final amount to be financed with the IEEE CASS VP for Regional Activities and Membership. Independently of this Report and Plan submitted to the representative of each Region by the Chapter Chair, it would be also mandatory, according to IEEE Rules, the submission every year until the end of February of the L31 reports describing the Chapter Activity for the previous year.
