Format
Papers must be written in English and should be no longer than 10
pages, using the Springer LNCC style, including all
tables, figures, and references. Over-length papers will definetly
be rejected without review. It is strongly recommended that the authors
use the style file of Springer-Verlag Lecture Notes to minimise the
possible conflict of paper length when preparing the manuscripts.
Download the styles: latex2e
or word.zip.
For other formats, please take a look at the springer
page.
Once your article is ready, it must be upload to a
ftp server (http://soyuz.metropoa.tche.br)
in either a pdf or ps format . No other (e.g.
msword or rtf) format will be accepted.
Also, please include
keywords in your article (after the abstract) in the abstract
box
when submitting your paper, in order to facilitate the
revision
process, especially if you have selected "Other" as a topic
during the submission of your abstract). Please assign at
least one topic to your paper, and at most three of them.
Finally, please
take a minute to do the checklist:
- is your paper in the correct format (LNCC/Springer)?
- does your paper have a maximum of 10 pages?
- is your paper in either pdf or ps format?
- did you include keywords together with your abstract?
Policies
The papers should present substantial new results in theoretical,
empirical and applied research related to the topics of the conference.
Please notice that papers on Artificial Neural Networks should be
submitted to the SBRN.
SBIA 2004 allows simultaneous
submission of papers to other conferences, provided that this fact
is clearly indicated by the authors in the submission process.
All accepted papers
will be published by Springer-Verlag in the Lectures Notes in Artificial
Intelligence Series. All authors of accepted papers will then be required
to sign copyright release forms, and one author of each accepted paper
will be required to register and attend the conference to present
the paper. Otherwise, the paper will not be included in the proceedings.
Review Process
All papers received will
be peer-reviewed by referees of the area.
Any other questions
regarding papers submission may be directed to the program committe
chair at sbia2004@inf.ufrgs.br.
