ABSTRACT
A compact Sigfox System-in-Package (SiP) is presented in this work. The system inte- grates an MCU, a transceiver and an RF front-end module which enables the device global operation. The device operates under 2.7-3.6 V supply with a programmable RF output power ranging from -30 dBm to 26 dBm. Operating with 3.3 V supply, it consumes 188.5 mA or 23 mA for 22 dBm or 12.8 dBm of RF output power, at 902.2 MHz and 868.13 MHz respectively. The device also features a current consumption of 3 μA in deep sleep mode. The proposed SiP design meets all the Sigfox Verified certification requirements, in a 13 mm × 13 mm × 1.1 mm total packaging size.
