Palestra com Pablo David Villarreal – Argentina

No dia 09 de abril, o professor Pablo David Villarreal do Departamento de Sistemas de Informação e Centro de Pesquisa e Desenvolvimento em Engenharia de Sistemas de Informação (CIDISI), da Universidade Nacional de Tecnologia (UTN), Santa Fe Faculty (UTN-FRSF), Argentina, ministrará a palestra intitulada “Model-Driven development of process-aware information systems for managing cross-organizational collaborations”, às 9h30min, no Auditório do prédio 67, do INF.

Resumo:
Cross-organizational collaborations require the management of collaborative business processes (CBPs) that define the inter-organizational behavior, and private integration business processes (IBPs) that define the behavior of the role an organization performs in a CBP. The development and implementation of process-aware information systems to manage these business processes become a complex project when organizations integrate collaborative networks and set up several cross-organizational collaborations. Alignment between the business solution and the IT solution is a key issue, as well as the consistence, interoperability and synchronization between the processes and systems of the organizations. This talk will present our past and current research works in the area: a model-driven development methodology of process-ware information systems for cross-organizational collaborations, a conceptual modeling language and verification approaches for CBP, a distributed repository for inter-organizational processes, and an agent-based platform for cross-organizational collaborations.

Short Bio:
Pablo David Villarreal is a full-time Adjunct Professor of the Information System Department and the Center of Research and Development of Information System Engineering (CIDISI), at the National Technological University (UTN), Santa Fe Faculty (UTN-FRSF), Argentina. He is also Adjunct Researcher of the Argentina’s National Council of Scientific and Technical Research (CONICET). His main research interests include: business process management, workflow management, process-aware information systems, model-driven development, conceptual modeling, Business-to-Business collaborations and agent-based information systems, service-oriented applications, supply chain management. In these areas he has published book chapters, and journal and conference papers. He has been director and co-director of research projects and currently is director of research projects on inter-organizational business process management.
