O evento acontecerá às 10h30min, no Auditório do Prédio 43413 (67), do Instituto de Informática da UFRGS.

Etapas envolvidas na criação e desenvolvimento de um game (da concepção ao lançamento), e o desafio de montar e gerenciar equipes multidisciplinares. Principais carreiras com alta demanda, o que se espera dos profissionais, e metodologias para extrair o máximo de eficiência desse processo complexo.

Mauricio Longoni: Head of Studio – Aquiris Game Studio. Co-Founded Aquiris Game Studio, started working with 3D modeling and texturing in 3ds max and then migrated to game programming using Virtools and then Unity 3D. Leaded the development and technical production of over 25 games using the Unity3D engine. Dealed with majority of issues related to Unity3D and general game development, from art pipeline, to gameplay programming to multiplayer networking.
Recently I’ve been involved with Ballistic (a Multiplayer First Person Shooter) in the role of a producer, I also assumed a stronger role in our business team, being directly involved with business strategy.
Raphael Baldi: Chief Technology Officer/Lead Programmer. Working with software development for over 10 years, is a professional with extensive knowledge on different technologies and programming languages. Over the past nine years devoted to game development, mainly focusing on software architecture and technology research.
During this time led the engineering team on the development of over 30 games, ranging from advertising games to Ballistic, a massively multiplayer FPS running on the browser. In Ballistic, besides leading, was also one of the main developers, responsible for designing and developing networking core systems and preparing the game to be highly scalable. Considered to be one of the most skilled game developers in the Brazilian market, having made talks at the Unite – the official Unity’s developer conference – for two consecutive years (2010 and 2011). Currently leads the programming team at Aquiris Game Studio, expanding the range of technologies mastered by the company and ensuring the technical quality of the products developed. Is interested in computer simulation, computer graphics, networking, project management and audio production.
