What is GEAP?
Gene Expression Analysis Platform (GEAP) is a free program used to process expression profiles by array (i.e., microarrays) and employ analytical methods to evaluate gene expression.
It was developed as a portable and versatile alternative to similar software used for transcriptomics, as it combines the C# capabilities of managing visual and intuitive user interfaces and the wide range of statistical algorithms implemented in R for gene expression analysis.
GEAP has support for several microarray platforms avaiable in GEO, covering manufacturers such as Affymetrix, Agilent, Illumina, GenePix, and NimbleGen. Moreover, we are currently expanding the program's capabilities to include other experimental approaches.
For a brief introduction to microarray analysis and the GEAP's user interface, check the GEAP's Quickstart Guide.
