19th Annual International Mixed-Signals,
Sensors, and Systems Test Workshop

The organizing committee of IMS3TW 2014 plans to deliver a Best Student Paper Award. This contest aims to provide graduate students with an opportunity to obtain visibility in the international test community and win recognition for their achievements.

Eligibility

	●	All students enrolled in a Ph.D. or M.S. program are eligible to participate.
	●	The contestants must be first authors of an accepted paper at the Workshop.
	●	The contestants must attend the Workshop and present their paper themselves.

Rules

	●	The paper must contain original and previously unpublished research. If later after the review process it is determined that the paper has been published elsewhere or it has been simultaneously submitted for review to another conference, the student will be summarily expelled from the contest.
	●	Advisors must endorse their student's participation in the contest by e-mailing the organizing committee.
	●	Perspective students must inform the organizers about their intention to participate in the contest once the notification of acceptance letters has been sent and no later than two weeks before the Workshop date.
	●	The selection criteria will be based on the impact and thoroughness of the work, as well as on the clarity and quality of the presentation during the Workshop. Perspective candidates are advised to address the following: (i) define the problem and its relevance to industry, (ii) describe existing industrial practices for solving the problem, and (iii) explain the proposed methodology (and any pertinent case study) and how it advances the theory and/or practice in the particular field.
	●	The award will be given to the best presented paper irrespectively of previous achievements by the student. An attempt to advertise previous achievements during the presentation will be perceived negatively. This means that a first-year graduate student could have an equal chance of winning the award as a graduating PhD student
	●	The contestants will be judged by a jury that consists of academics and industrial experts. The exact selection rules will be announced in the coming weeks.

The winner will receive a certificate. More prizes may be announced in the coming weeks. The winner will be announced during the closing session of the Workshop or during the social event if the presentations of all contestants are completed by then.
