The Center for Entrepreneurship in Informatics (Centro de Empreendimentos em Informática – CEI), founded in 1996, is a special division of the Institute acting as a technology incubator supporting innovative projects in IT. CEI’s aim is to foster and strengthen the development of IT Entrepreneurships, lending technical support to technological innovation.
CEI was the first technology incubator founded in southern Brazil and is rated as a reference model by Brazilian assessment agencies. Since 1997, CEI has incubated over 30 new IT companies. For further information, please access http://www.inf.ufrgs.br/cei (in Portuguese).
